When patients make their monthly visits for consultation it includes medication, at no extra charge (thanks to the generosity of donors). Patients also receive educational talks on:
healthy eating
proper exercise
foot care
As a result of improved care, patients find hope as they lower their blood sugar levels and experience increased energy and overall health gained by following the guidelines of the program.
Friends of Roatan was able to raise enough funds from their Launch Party in November 2021 to cover 55 new patients to the program.
Donations are needed.
Diabetes monitoring kits are in high demand and expensive. As a key resource in helping patients to successfully manage their diabetes, donations received through Friends of Roatan are used to purchase the kits. Please show your support by donating today.
